Friends, it is time for your irregular check-in with the Esther Greenwood School for Girls! Why irregular, you may suddenly ask, and the truth is because your loyal correspondent loathes to write these things. :p
We are now more than a month into the new year! What do we have to show for it? Well, to begin with: Mickey Mouse. Our headmistress started 2024 by waxing lyrical about the dangers of copyright, and also the dangers of why and how the original incarnation of the Disney Company's famed rodent mascot has found his way into the public domain. In the same breath, we discovered the pre-Christmas doodles of one our students themed around a reintroduction to the notion of the popular five multi-coloured warriors of children's television that has held ground in Japan since the '70s but truly became a global concern in the '90s.
Over the coming months, the staff and students of the school plan to do something fun with the notion of this, the idea of an Esther Greenwood programming block is perhaps a little too farfetched, but we find ourselves wondering what such a thing would read like.
Until then, friends, we will continue to work towards our overall patreon goal and hopefully we will speak to you soon.
Also: don't forget - I hate writing these things. <3
